I am excited to share that I will attend the Knoxville Book Festival 2026 if the LORD wills it!
If you live in eastern Tennessee, or a nearby surrounding state, I would love to see you at Knoxville Convention Center on Saturday May 2nd or Sunday May 3rd. Like many authors, I am a bit awkward with in person chitchat. I guess you could say that I'm no Commander Calvin Hutchinson. If you get the reference, then you are in my target reader group, and you probably should come meet me, lol.
Never fear! My wife's "people skills" are superior to mine. She'll be beside me the whole weekend, helping me meet and greet readers, add names to my nascent email list, and selling my books. You'll likely get to meet us both, unless one of us steps out to grab a meal from the food trucks.
Also, you will get more out of meeting me in person if you've already read my two published novels. This is my first book convention. I imagine that an excited reader saying, "What Svetlana did in chapter 20 of HyperVigilanté was crazy!" would make for better conversation than an attendee nibbling a carrot, then saying, "Eh! So what's this book about, Doc?"
Additionally, I have no clue how many books I might sell there. Stock is expensive. I'm bringing what I imagine is an adequate supply of HyperVigilanté, but my stock of The Fukushima Connection is lower. So... If I run out of books at the event, I might end up having to tell people about my Books By site, where they can buy copies. Go ahead and grab copies of both books right now and a ticket to the show, and we'll see ya in May!
